If you use an online service such as Mapquest, Rand McNally, or Yahoo! that provides maps and driving directions to the Retreat Center, please note that we suggest that you use the directions below to the Retreat Center from Route 3, as we have found that these are most direct.

FROM ROUTE 3 SOUTH
Take Exit 14/Rte. 228 Rockland Nantasket
Take a left at the lights off the exit ramp and follow Rte. 228 North for about six miles through the town of Hingham. When you reach the intersection of Rte. 228 and Rte. 3A, continue to follow Rte. 228 straight through the lights and then bear left on 228 at Hull St. (Note: do not turn right at the "Cohasset" sign) and continue for about 1.4 miles.
Take a right onto Jerusalem Road (DiNero's restaurant is on the corner) and proceed for 1.8 miles. The Retreat Center, a large gray stucco house with a red-tiled roof, is on the left, #339.

FROM ROUTE 3 NORTH
Take Exit 14/Rte. 228 Rockland Nantasket
Take a right at the lights off the exit ramp and follow Rte. 228 North through the town of Hingham. Follow directions above to the Retreat Center.

TRAIN SERVICE:

FROM BOSTON SOUTH STATION AND/OR LOGAN AIRPORT TO COHASSET MBTA STATION:
The MBTA Greenbush Line commuter rail service originates at South Station, Boston and stops at Cohasset Station (approximately 40 minutes). Adult fare is $5.75 one way. The station is about a 10 minute car ride from the Retreat Center. For train schedules go to www.mbta.com/schedules_and_maps/rail/lines/?route=GREENBSH. Note: The service is temporarily not available on Saturdays and Sundays. Taxi service from Cohasset MBTA station to the Retreat Center should be arranged in advance by calling Nantasket Charter (781) 925-2255. The fare for the 10 minute journey is $15 (gratuity not included). Please call the Retreat Center well before your retreat to see if someone will be available to pick you up at the Cohasset station if you arrive on a weekday.

The Silver Line bus rapid transit service (SL1) connects Logan Airport terminals to South Station. Adult fare is $2.00, and the trip takes approximately twenty minutes. For Silver Line schedules go to www.massport.com/logan/getti_typeo_silve.html.

FERRY SERVICES:
It can be an enjoyable and relaxing experience to arrive on the South Shore from the Boston area via ferry. Boston Harbor Cruises runs commuter boats on weekdays only to Hingham, and Harbor Express runs a service to Quincy seven days a week. Here is information on ferry services as well as transportation to the Retreat Center from the ferry terminals.

FROM LOGAN AIRPORT VIA FERRY TO QUINCY:
Harbor Express ferries run regularly from Logan Airport and from Long Wharf in Boston to Fore River Shipyard in Quincy. For schedules and boat fares, go to www.harborexpress.com. For transportation from Quincy to the Retreat Center, ask the boat crew to call a cab for you and it will be there to meet you at the dock. The service they use, Yellow Cab in Quincy, will charge a flat fee of $35 (gratuity not included) to the Retreat Center; be sure to mention this to the boat crew and to the cab driver to avoid metered service, which may be more costly.

FROM BOSTON AND/OR LOGAN AIRPORT TO HINGHAM SHIPYARD VIA MBTA COMMUTER BOAT:
Boston Harbor Water Taxi provides transportation from Logan Airport to Rowe's Wharf, where you change for the MBTA commuter boat to Hingham Shipyard.

Boston Harbor Water Taxi operates year-round, on-call service seven days a week between 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The standard adult fare is $10.00 per passenger one-way. Tickets are sold on board the boat. Take Massport's courtesy Water Transportation bus (#66) route to the Logan dock and proceed to the fence at the top of the gangway. The water taxi landing is on the floats directly in front of the dock pavilion. The water taxi captain in the top-cab position will greet you, ask for your destination, and invite you on board or direct you to the appropriate water taxi (to Rowe's Wharf). If a water taxi is not present, call Boston Harbor Water Taxi at 617-593-9168 to summon a water taxi vessel.

The MBTA commuter boat, run by Boston Harbor Cruises, departs from Rowe's Wharf in Boston for the Hingham Shipyard on weekdays only (no weekend service). One-way fares are $6.00/adult, $3.00 seniors/disabled.

Taxi service from Hingham Shipyard to the Retreat Center should be arranged in advance by calling Nantasket Charter (781) 925-2255. The flat fare for the 15-20 minute journey is $18 (gratuity not included).

TAXI AND BUS SERVICES:

FROM LOGAN AIRPORT VIA TAXI:
A taxi from the airport to the Retreat Center in Cohasset will charge a flat fee of $58 plus approximately $6.50 in airport and tunnel fees, and a 20 percent gratuity. Go to the taxi stand at your arrival area and speak to the Massport representative, ask for the flat rate to Cohasset, and then ask for a receipt from the taxi driver. FROM LOGAN AIRPORT VIA LOGAN EXPRESS BUS TO BRAINTREE/TAXI TO COHASSET:
Buses depart from the airport to Braintree every half hour. The adult fare is $12.00 one-way or $22.00 round trip. The fare for seniors is $11.00 one-way or $20.00 round trip. Taxi service from the Braintree bus terminal to Cohasset is provided by Blue Cab (781) 843-1200 and Town Taxi (781) 335-4242 for a flat fee of $40. You can also use the telephones for Town Taxi or Blue Cab at the Braintree bus terminal.

LIVERY/CAR SERVICES FROM LOGAN AIRPORT:
A number of livery services offer transportation from the airport to the Retreat Center if arranged in advance; flat rates vary. For example, Atlantic Coach & Transportation Inc.: www.atlanticcoach.com; (781) 740-8737 offers sedan service that can accommodate at least two persons plus luggage at a flat fee of $97 (gratuity included). For larger groups, van and limousine service is available at a higher rate.
